There’s this dude I went to high school with that I see at the gym sometimes.

He’s in the best shape of anyone there. He’s big, he’s lean, and he’s strong as fuck. I don’t care what anyone says, his physique is the goal.

I was talking to him one day and he was gassing me up, saying shit like, “Your arms are huge!”

And I blushed, kicked a little dirt and said, “Gee pal, it’s nothing compared to you.”

You know. Man stuff. Flirting.

He kept flattering me and eventually said, “You ever think of bodybuilding?”

And I said, “Naw man. I like drinking beer and eating garbage too much to ever get in really good shape.”

He goes:

“6–8 weeks is all it takes.”

That stuck with me forever.

Because 6–8 weeks is fucking nothing.

You don’t have to be training for bodybuilding, powerlifting, or anything else. But if you actually lock in for 6–8 weeks, both with your training and your diet, you can make a pretty dramatic change.

Two months.

That’s a pretty short commitment.

And maybe at the end of those two months you look better, feel better, get stronger, whatever. But hopefully something else happens too: the shit that felt difficult at the beginning just becomes what you do.

You’ve built a habit.

Maybe even a healthy addiction for once.

Anyway, whatever.

Pick something you want to change. Big or small. Give it 6–8 weeks of actual effort and see what happens.

You never fuckin know, bud.
